COLOMBO SCOUT YOUTH ADVISORY GROUP
The Colombo Scout Youth Advisory Group is the Youth
Advisory Arm of the Sri Lanka Scout Association (SLSA) – Colombo District
Branch, which is elected at the Annual Colombo Scout Youth Forum and act as a
body that will facilitate the above-mentioned Colombo Scout Youth Forum and
will further act as a supportive and consultative body to the Executive
Committee of the Colombo District Branch and the District Commissioner in
implementation of the Youth Programme as well as management & governance of
the Colombo District Branch.

Scouting
is a voluntary educational youth movement for young people to contribute to the
development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual,
emotional, social, and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible
citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
Monthly troop leaders and rover mates meeting
CSYAG conducts a Monthly Meeting for all the Troop
Leaders and Rover Mates of the Colombo Scouts District. The monthly Troop
Leaders and Rover Mates Meeting happens every 3rd Wednesday of the month
originally at the Colombo Scout Headquarters from 3pm to 4pm, But due to the
Pandemic, it takes place via the Zoom Platform from 7pm to 8pm. Creating a two-way
communication channel between the Colombo District and the Scout Troops and
Rover Crews, Creating a networking platform for the TLs and RMs in the District
to share ideas, experiences, suggestions and to collaborate with District
Projects, Enhance the participants knowledge on a relevant and timely topic
through a 20 minute knowledge sharing session that would be conducted by a
personal with the necessary knowledge on the respective topic shared are a few
of the objectives fulfilled through the Troop Leaders and Rover Mates meeting
held every month.
